Hola amigos! Welcome back to school, where lives start to slowly go back to normal. Oh how I've forgotten my daily routine on campus.
If you're expecting to read about happy days where I hang out with friends, enjoy face-to-face lab classes and basically just relish being out in the sun again, that cannot be further from the truth. Just,...no. A very aptly phrased sentence by a friend of mine on the first day of class:" I can feel half my soul burning in hell." Literally. Even though I didn't get the worse set of timetable, it still is very taxing. The sheer amount of knowledge and this supersonic speed the lecturers are going at make it hard to wrap my head around what I'm actually learning.
People say I've got too much on my plate, I think it's an effing buffet already. With the UCAS application deadline looming and mock exams coming up, I've got the student council stuff to take care of as well. This probably explains why I'm in the library on a Sunday morning, with 20 tabs open on my computer screen and notes of 3 different subjects on the table. Speaking of which, my laptop's running low on battery and my hot water is at a perfect temperature.
Nonetheless, it's not all bad, labs are enjoyable and stressful at the same time. For the time being, I'd still say, I can do this. Ending on a lighter note, I'm very lucky to be able to work hard towards achieving my dream with a lot of support from my family, seniors and college. Keep up the good work everyone, the world's your oyster.
~Carpe Diem~
